Getting started

From the first launch to your first protected photo.

Guide · As of October 2026

PIN and Face ID

On first launch you set a PIN – four to eight digits. Blurami does not open without one: your private photos should be yours alone. Then you can Enable Face ID; the PIN stays as the way in behind it.

Remember the PIN. There is no “forgot PIN” – reinstalling is the only way out.

Later under Settings (your profile picture, top right) › Security: change the PIN, Face ID, Auto Lock (immediately up to 15 minutes) and Lock Blurami Now.

Guest or account

Without signing in you are a guest: everything on the iPhone works, iCloud included – only the AI tools, backup and purchases do not.

To sign in: Settings › Connected Accounts › tick “I accept the Terms …” › Connect next to Apple. Sign-in is with Apple only; OneDrive and Google Drive are connected later for the backup – as storage, not as a sign-in.

Profiles

A profile is a library of its own on your iPhone – say “Private” and “Club”. One profile does not see another’s projects, photos and people. Settings › Your Profile › Manage Profiles: create, rename, choose an icon, switch.

Without a subscription there is one profile; with Pro or Ultra, five.

The bar at the bottom

Home, Projects, Subjects (the people), Review (what is left to check) and Export. The Blurami logo at the top opens Information & Support.
