Faces and subjects
A subject is a person. Blurami recognises them again and protects them the way you decide.
Faces in a photo
Open a photo, first tab at the top (Subjects). Every face is listed – “OK” (assigned), to check (open) or manual. For each face:
- Assign – to a subject that already exists
- Create New Subject
- Ignore Face – counts as done and can be restored
- Find similar faces – the same person in other photos
A face is missing? Turn on Show Face Boxes and tap the spot.
Subjects
The Subjects tab shows your people. In a subject:
- Privacy Profile – keep, blur, pixelate or hide, plus the kind and strength
- reference photo – which face the subject shows; only photos it appears in
- Keep this Motiv – the person stays even if you delete the app, through iCloud and end-to-end encrypted, together with what Blurami recognises them by. Only once you have given the subject a name.
- at the top: rename, Combine Subject, delete
The same person twice
Did Blurami create the same person twice? In the Subjects tab, Matching Tools (sliders icon) › Find duplicates. The Distance threshold slider: lower is stricter, higher finds more. In Possible duplicates, per group Merge group or Not same person. Nothing is ever merged on its own, and nothing is deleted.
Review
The Review tab gathers what needs checking: suggested merges, faces that do not fit their subject, photos with open faces. Next issue walks you through. Review shows the project edited last – for all projects, use Review all projects at the top.
Good to know
Face data stays on this iPhone. A second device recognises the faces again; only subjects with Keep this Motiv come along.
